Threads of Renewal – Fashion as a Living Ecosystem
Documentary Research Initiative
A documentary research project exploring global regenerative textile cultures and their potential to shape circular fashion futures. Threads of Renewal is a six-part documentary series (or feature film) that explores textile practices as vessels of ecological, social and spiritual relationships.
It follows designers, elders and makers worldwide who approach fashion as a living system.
The aim: to make regenerative textile knowledge visible and transferable—beyond consumption and appropriation.
The film concludes in Germany to reflect on how this knowledge can be meaningfully applied in the Global North.
