Nature-First Approach to Regenerative Fashion
We transform textile waste through Remade design concepts and collaborative infrastructures
– and empower systemic change through education and advisory.
Explore our Pathways:
What does Nature-First mean?
Nature-First is our design framework for understanding how materials behave, evolve, and endure.
It brings together material intelligence, emotional durability, repair, and regenerative value — grounding every design and system decision in the realities of use, care, and continuity.
With nature informing every decision, we shape fashion systems that regenerate value — durable in use, meaningful over time, materially grounded, and built to last across real cycles of use.
What does Remade mean?
Remade is our design-led approach to regenerative upcycling:
transforming surplus textiles (deadstock, returns, production scraps) into high-quality new products — without breaking fibres down.
It bridges the gap between reuse and recycling, creating new value loops from existing materials while keeping fibre integrity intact.
Remade becomes regenerative when design, material behaviour, and production systems work together to create new cycles instead of new waste.
Two Pathways – One Vision
At Bricolage, we believe systemic change in fashion requires design innovation, industrial scaling, and transformative learning.
Our work unfolds in two interconnected directions:
bricolage STUDIO & Co-Lab
Industrial Remade · Collaborative infrastructure · Scalable production
Co-Lab is our social enterprise dedicated to industrial-scale Remade. By connecting designers, manufacturers, and communities, Co-Lab builds open, design-led infrastructure that helps scale Remade processes from pilot projects into real production systems across Europe’s fashion industry.Bricolage Studio
Design concepts · Remade tools · Pilot projects
Bricolage Studio is a Berlin-based design studio for regenerative fashion and Remade design solutions. We develop digital tools such as RECONNECTED, enabling modular and scalable Remade workflows, and design concepts that show how surplus textiles can become high-quality new products.
Pilot & Production Support: We consult and design – and, where desired, collaborate with Co-Lab to pilot production processes. Brands can also integrate our concepts independently within their supply chains.
HSZ Education & Advisory
Teaching · Consulting · Speaking
We work with institutions, brands, and communities to build circular and regenerative capacities, focusing on:
Circular design strategy
Nature-First & Seven-Seasons methodology
Material behaviour & durability intelligence
Repair & continuity systems
EPR readiness, EU textiles strategy
Curriculum development & team transformation
Our advisory combines design thinking with systemic innovation to help organisations prepare for — and benefit from — Europe’s new circularity landscape.
Led by founder Henrietta Szakonyi, HSZ Education & Advisory builds on her Nature-First framework and Design for Seven Seasons — a research-based methodology developed through her work in design, material studies, and over a decade of international teaching.
Our programs bridge design, research, and practice through workshops, lectures, and strategic advisory, making circularity, repair, and remade systems accessible and applicable for teams and organisations.
Where helpful, we collaborate with selected experts from our network.
